Angel B's- A Galleria of Cakes

      Here are some of the most frequently asked questions we get here at Angel B's. We hope that if you have any questions they get answered here, and if not feel free to give us a call at 812-332-2537 or e-mail us at chefmark@angelb-s.com.

1. How many days in advance do I need to order a cake?

- For cakes that are not elaborately decorated, we can have it ready in as little as twenty-four hours.

- If you call first thing in the morning, we may be able to have your cake ready that afternoon. This is especially true towards the beginning of the week.

2. How many people does a cake serve?

- This will vary with every family but generally speaking, a 6”cake will service 6-8 people, a 9”single layer will serve 8-12, a 9”double layer will serve up to 16 people, a quarter sheet will serve up to 24, a half sheet up to 48 people, and a full sheet up to 96 people. Sheet cake sizes are based on 2”by 2” squares.

3. Can you prepare two flavors in a quarter sheet cake?

- Quarter sheets are only available in one flavor unless it is a marble type cake. We can marble white and chocolate, raspberry and chocolate, lemon and raspberry, etc. Additional charges will apply.

4. What are your hours?

- Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm.

-Saturday from 8 am to 5pm.

- We are closed on Sunday’s and all Holiday’s.

5. Where are you located?

a. Angel B’s is located on the corner of Patterson and Rogers, about one mile south of Bloomington Hospital in the McDoel Building. We are right across the street from the SS office.

6. Are your cakes fresh?

- We bake, decorate, and sell dozens of cakes every day, using the finest quality ingredients available. We don’t use artificial flavorings or preservatives, and we also guarantee the quality of your cake. We stand behind every product we sell. If you are not totally satisfied with your Angel B’s purchase, let us know and we will make it right.

7.  How do I go about ordering a cake?

- Any of our team members can take your order and answer any questions you may have about flavors and serving sizes. We also have a brochure on our cakes which can answer most of your questions.

8. How do I go about ordering a wedding cake or setting up an appointment with a consultant?

- We have a wedding cake brochure which has some general information about the process. The first thing to do is contact us to find out if your date is available. If the date you request is available, the next step would be to make an appointment with our cake artist as soon as possible to discuss your ideas.

9. Do you do custom cookies?

- We specialize in cakes only. We will create custom cookies but the minimum order we will produce is 12 dozen. $360.

10. Do you have cakes available for immediate purchase?

- Absolutely! We are baking and decorating cakes every day so we always have a nice selection of celebration cakes and dessert cakes available for any occasion.

11. Do you use butter cream or whipped icing?

- Our basic icing is a very light butter cream which contains no trans fats.

12. What is the difference between a dessert cake and a celebration cake?

- Our dessert cakes are specialty cakes with different fillings, icings, and flavor profiles. Great for any occasion. Our celebration cakes are available in many different flavors and are usually iced in our house butter cream. They are decorated with basic borders and flowers with room on top for writing script.
